I already told you about my holy grail manicure which is the Dashing Diva Gloss Nails. But let me tell you about my new found love for press-ons!

It’s been a few years since I have tried press-ons because I had a bad experience once when I went away for a girls trip and only had 4 nails still left and my plane hadn’t even landed at my destination. I know airport security can be a doozy, but come on.
When my best friend Kat showed up to my house recently with a fresh new set I had to ask her which salon she was going to. That’s when she told me that they were the Glamnetic press-on nails! (Omg i’m sorry, that sounded like a cheesy commercial, but it’s the honest truth)!
I purchased a few of my own sets that very day along with a super strong nail glue (literally, that’s what it’s called) that Kat recommended. Glamnetic has nail glue of their own but I haven’t tried it so I can’t comment on how good it is.
The price of each Glamnetic nail kit ranges from about 11.99-19.99. Yes, a little on the pricier side for press-on nails, but this brand also claims to be “reusable”. Per their claims, you can use each set multiple times. Depending on the style, the kits come with either 24 nails or 30 nails. All kits include an alcohol pad, a nail file, a cuticle stick, and glue. I really like the mini glue it comes with to keep in my purse just in case one of my nails ends up in the guac during girls night out.
How to Apply Glamnetic Press-on Nails
The application of the Glamnetic Press-on Nails is super easy and quick. You use the alcohol prep pad to clean your nail beds, use the stick to push your cuticles back, and glue on the nails. I found that sizing my nails first and lining them up in order made the process quicker.

UPDATE: I’ve added this nail dehydrator to the regimen and it’s been a game changer. I’ve noticed that my nails last a long longer when I use the dehydrator. After using the nail prep pad, add a thin layer of dehydrator to each nail to create a smooth surface and stronger bond for the glue.
The instructions say to brush a thin layer of glue on the press-on nail as well as your natural nail bed. Yet, I have found that my nails last longer if I just use a thin layer on my nail bed only. I think if you layer both, it can cause a thickness that is more apt to bubbles. After glueing the nail on, you firmly press for 30 seconds, and you are all set. The application takes maybe 15 minutes tops.
This is the first Glamnetic nail set I did and it is one of my favorites to date:

Look how natural they look! Back in my day, press-ons were always so bulky and oddly shaped. I love how the Glamnetic brand has so many different shapes, sizes, lengths and colors to choose from.

Here is my other favorite set. This set is the Gold-Digger Short Round. Yes, I know different day, same sweater #momlife.
Final Thoughts on Glamnetic Press-on Nails
So far, the longest I have had a set last is 12 days, which I consider a win. Especially when you are a busy mom who does 8,673 loads of laundry and changes 48 million diapers a day. The nails never chipped or cracked! They just started popping off when I would do something stupid like pinch my finger in the baby gate.
Another thing I really like about this process is that my natural nails are not damaged after I remove the nails. This is surprising since Kat literally told me she thinks the nail glue is super glue. Judging by the way it smells and holds, I am not doubting that. I recently purchased this Instant Nail Glue Remover in hopes that my nails will stay even healthier when I stop ripping them off… whoops, I meant soaking them off…
I hope you found this post informative! Please let me know in the comments below if you have tried the Glamnetic Press-on Nails or if there is another brand that you prefer. You know I am always on the hunt for the best nail hacks!
