Self-care is a vital year-round practice, but isn’t there just something about the fall season that makes self-care items more enjoyable? It’s the cold weather, the warm blankets, the bubble baths…if you can’t tell, fall is my favorite!
The fall season provides a wonderful opportunity to embrace the changes in nature and incorporate them into your self-care practices for a sense of balance and well-being. In this blog post, I will be sharing my top 5 items for fall self-care.

Guys, please listen to me. If you do just ONE THING for yourself this fall, please let it be this robe. A friend of mine bought one for me two years ago after my mom passed. Which by the way, what an awesome mourning gift. Let’s normalize gifting people barefoot dreams robes instead of flowers that die within a week.
But I digress, this is the coziest, most lovely, self-care item that I use and need for fall. Yes, I will say it will be a splurge, but sooooo worth it. I have gifted a few friends this robe as well and they are all obsessed. This self-care item is at the top of my list and will comfort you for many fall seasons to come!
2. Pura – Smart Home Fragrance Device
If you haven’t hopped on the Pura train yet, now is the time. There is no time better than fall to inundate your home with the scents of pumpkin, cinnamon and fir. I love how I can control this device through my phone.
Another thing I really love about this device is that you are able to control the strength of the scent which is a godsend for someone like me. Where are my chronic headache girlies at?! The diffuser lets you know when your scents are getting low, and reordering your favorite scents is a breeze. Some of my all-time favorite scents include volcano, vanilla chiffon, and washed cotton.
3. Glass & Real Wood Essential Oil Diffuser
I recently mentioned this item in my autumn aromatherapy post, but this diffuser is a must-have for fall. Any diffuser will do really, but I love this one because the look and design of this one makes me feel fancy. The lightweight and minimalist appearance, with the choice of different colored soothing lights, make it perfect for use during meditation, bath time, or even while sleeping. Also, this diffuser doubles as a humidifier which is perfect for the fall-time germs.
4. Sonoma Lavender Luxury Lavender Heatable/Chillable Neck Pillow
This is an all-year-round self-care item but I have been particularly loving it in the fall. If you are like me, you hold a lot of stress and tension in your neck and shoulders.
I have especially noticed that since becoming a mama the weird positions we find ourselves in like bending over the crib or navigating bath time have really caused soreness and inflammation more than usual. Or maybe I’m just getting old. Probably all of the above.
Anyway, my husband pops this bad boy in the microwave for me, because let’s be honest I have already settled in bed when I remember, and I wear it during my nighttime reading. I swear, I feel like a spring chicken when I wake up after wearing this, if even for a short time. I love that this contains real lavender and that the cover is washable. Even more, you can put it in the freezer!
5. The Republic of Tea: Fall Harvest Tea Assortment Cube
Last on the list, but definitely not least, this amazing tea sampler. It is only ranked at number 5 because when all of these items are used in conjunction, this would be the last step for an amazing fall self-care session.
This is another item that I was gifted from a friend and I have been a big fan ever since. The Republic of Tea is the GOAT of tea, in my humble opinion. You can’t get wrong with any of the flavors and this fall harvest assortment cube really hits the spot. You’re gonna want to stay in your new robe for this one!
I hope you can appreciate the extensively thought-out self-care item list that I got down to just 5 of my favorite fall self-care items. It was no easy feat!
Self-care is important year-round, but in the fall season, there are specific activities and practices you can incorporate to help you feel grounded, relaxed, and rejuvenated.
Remember, being indoors more often especially with kids, requires you to take even more care of yourself and mental state. Practicing self-care even if all it is is enjoying a mug or warm tea or inhaling the natural scents of fall will do a world of good.
Don’t forget to let others know what you need this fall, you deserve it mama!
